HOW LONG WILL MY ORDER TAKE?

Stock sizes – Usually dispatched within 5-7 working days.

Bespoke sizes – Approximately 3 – 4 weeks.

Please note the lead times above are only a guide and can vary based on our current workload.  If you want to confirm our current lead time please contact us.

WHAT TYPE OF GLASS DO YOU USE FOR YOUR GLASS SPLASHBACKS?

We use 6mm low iron, toughened glass with polished edges.

We only recommend 6mm for glass splashbacks, it offers more strength than 4mm when transporting and anything thicker than 6mm can effect the clarity of the finished product on the rear of the glass.

If you require thicker/thinner glass than 6mm please let us know and we will do our best to help.

HOW DO I FIX MY SPLASHBACK TO THE WALL?

When ordering you have the option of silicone adhesive to glue your splashback to the wall or we can add holes in your glass splashback and  supply you with chrome or satin mirror screws.

Once you receive your splashbacks you will find a full installation sheet within the packaging this will show you how to install your new glass splashback alternatively click here to download a copy. (Click link)

IS YOUR GLASS SAFE TO BE USED BEHIND A HOB?

All our splashbacks are safe to be used behind induction/electric hobs.  If your splashback is going behing a gas hob then we recommend only using toughened glass for your splashbacks, which is safe to be used behind any hob.

WHO ARE CUCINA SPLASHBACKS?

Cucina Splashbacks is a online sister company to The Liverpool Glass Company Ltd with a Factory/Showroom based in Liverpool, around 2 miles from Aintree Racecourse.  We manufacture Glass Splashbacks at our own factory and supply the whole of the UK.

WHY ARE YOUR PRICES SO REASONABLE?

At Cucina we carry out all our own Mirroring, Printing and Spraying. We do not outsource our work and all our work is carried out on our own premises.

CAN YOU CUT SHAPED PIECES?

Glass Splashbacks can be curved or shaped to accommodate cooker hoods, curves etc.  We can shape the splashback any size within 3000mm x 1800mm

CAN I HAVE HOLES OR CUT-OUTS IN THE GLASS?

Yes. Glass Splashbacks can be cut in to allow for sockets, holes or shaping to a extractor.  The accuracy of these is vital because we cut prior to toughening and once toughened the glass can not be altered in any way.

CAN I USE MY OWN IMAGE ON A PRINTED GLASS SPLASHBACK?

Yes. We can print your own image directly onto the glass, however a high resolution file is required to ensure a quality print.  If you're unsure about the quality of the file, please send it to us and we will advise you.

CAN I PICK A COLOUR OUTSIDE YOUR RANGE IN THE SHOP?

Yes. When ordering from our online shop, simply select the custom colour option and type in the brand and name of the colour you wish us to match, we pretty much match all paint brands.

CAN I PICK AN IMAGE FROM SHUTTERSTOCK FOR MY PRINTED GLASS SPLASHBACK?

Yes. When in our online shop simply add the shutterstock ID number and proceed with your order. We will always send you a proof of the image before we go to print to make sure you are happy with the layout and scale of the image.

WILL THE COLOURS LOOK THE SAME AS WHAT I SEE ON MY COMPUTER SCREEN?

They will look almost the same, images on a screen look different from the real glass, as contrast and brightness settings of a monitor could be different.  The same is also true for any print out you may have, as printer settings also vary from printer to printer. If in doubt, supply us with a colour name/brand or order a sample before you purchase your splashback.

IS MY SPLASHBACK MADE IN UK OR IMPORTED?

All our splashbacks are manufactured in the UK and meet the requirements of the latest UK glass rules.

PAYMENT AND SHIPPING?

We use Stripe for all our payments as it accepts most major credit cards and is a proven, secure payment solution. Furthermore, you do not need to have, or create, an account to make a purchase. You will be directed to pay for your glass as you complete your online order. Any delivery prices quoted are for mainland UK for all other areas please see delivery section.

CAN YOU SHIP THE SPLASHBACK OUTSIDE THE UK MAINLAND?

Sadly no, we don't offer glass splashbacks outside of the UK.

WHAT IS YOUR RETURNS & REFUNDS POLICY?

Please check for any visible signs of damage to the packaging of your order before signing for the delivery.  Items damaged in transit should be noted at time of delivery and if possible delivery should be refused and returned to us.  If the Glass Splashbacks arrives defective this should also be noted at time of delivery and returned via the courier.  If the Glass splashback does not fit we cannot issue you a refund as long as the measurements match the measurements on your order, please check your invoice prior to completing payment.  Once signed for any claims made by you will be validated at our discretion and should be raised with 24 hours of receipt.  Where you have asked us to leave your order in a safe place at your premises or with a friend or neighbour you do so at your own risk.  We recommend that you have the friend or neighbour check your order on your behalf.  Where possible, we reserve the right to repair any defects rather than remaking that particular piece of glass or issuing any form of compensation.  If the glass is fitted we are unable to consider any claims of damage.

DO WE DO TEMPLATE AND INSTALLATION?

Cucina Splashbacks do not offer a template and installation service, if you are looking for this service then please check out our parent company The Liverpool Glass Company Ltd.

HOW STRONG AND SAFE IS TOUGHENED GLASS?

Toughened Glass has got a very high breakpoint and can withstand high temperatures. In the unlikely event the breakpoint is reached it shatters instantly to small safer pieces.

Toughened or tempered glass is physically and thermally stronger than regular untoughened glass. Toughened glass is processed by a controlled thermal treatment which increases its strength compared with normal glass. Tempering creates balanced internal stresses which cause the glass, when broken, to crumble into small granular chunks instead of splintering into jagged shards, we also prefer to use toughened glass, as kitchen glass splashbacks are exposed to knocks and heat from your hob.
